How old is your child?

Twinkle Stars

In this class we take babies from birth up to 9 months (in some circumstances); once baby's cord has come away and healed, as long as everything is well, they can join us in one of our lovely warm hydrotherapy pools!

Twinkle Stars is a lovely relaxed introduction to the water and the Splash Stars program, with focus on relaxation and enjoyment.

Splash Stars teach early independent swimming meaning that you won't see an armband or disk at our lessons, all our children learn to swim unaided and build confidence in their own abilities, which can never be taken away (unlike aids!).

We teach your baby to swim! This is done is a relaxed and child led way, we start by introducing a signal (which is used anytime they go underwater) which you practice at home in the bath once your child is comfortable with water over their face, we will start with a tiny and very supported dip down under the water (as long as they are happy to), we then slowly and gradually introduce small underwater swims back to parent which become more and more independent, this is done at your child's pace.

Our classes are a perfect bonding opportunity allowing you and your baby the space to enjoy the relation of the warm water with skin to skin contact for 30 minutes of uninterrupted time with your baby.

Floating features heavily in our program. Floating is a fundamental swimming skill that not only gives your baby the freedom of movement, it also builds good correct alignment on the surface of the water, which in turn leads to muscle memory and a good foundation for future swimming.

Twinkle Stars not only introduces your baby to water, it teaches them to swim, love and enjoy the water and builds a solid foundation for moving through our program and becoming a future star.
