Splash Stars was born in April 2016 when creative and technical director Nichole was on maternity leave with her second child, Matilda, from a swimming background and a career in the swimming industry, Nichole had the right mix of experience and creative talent to develop the Splash Stars program.

Nichole has worked in the swimming industry for many years, working her way through the ranks to lead a team of teachers and assess the standards of lessons being delivered in the industry alongside worked full time in the energy sector; Nichole was able to use this vast knowledge to ensure that Splash Stars lessons and training are the absolute best. Having seen the pitfalls of the current swimming standards Nichole created a revolutionary program of swimming lessons that would ditch the armbands and unnecessary aids and teach children to swim independently and effectively through the water, a key life skill!

Nichole knew that she wanted to follow her passion to revolutionise the way swimming lessons are conducted, from babies through to pre-teens and knew that her being on maternity leave would give her the time to focus her energy on setting up her own swim school and putting all her skills and experience to use. It was then, with a little encouragement from her husband, friends and family that she decided to go for it.

A lot of time, research (and money!) was put into making sure every aspect of the business would be attractive and worthwhile not just for her and her family but more importantly, her customers.

Nichole wanted to create not just another baby and toddler class for parents to attend but an important, life-saving, fun and bond strengthening programme to help children learn to love and respect the water and to also give parents of children, especially those under 4, a time to be in the water with their child with no outside distractions as in today’s society, that’s really important. And of course the main aim, teaching children to swim!

Nichole’s reputation shone through immediately and customer that she had that had grown to love her put her faith in Splash Stars and decided to join her for lessons, she had 38 customers before even starting her first lesson! 2 years on Splash Stars now have over 400 customers and we have been nominated for numerous awards in our 3 short years and we are going from strength to strength growing our customer base and exposure in the North West of England and even gain the title of Best Swimming Provider in Greater Manchester!
